Family visas

Bring your family here, or help them stay

A U.S. citizen or permanent resident can petition for close family. We file the petition, build the proof of the relationship, and tell you honestly how long the wait is for your category.

We file for

  • Spouses and fiancés

  • Parents of U.S. citizens

  • Children, married or single

  • Brothers and sisters of U.S. citizens

  • VAWA self-petitions

What the flat fee covers

For one I-130 petition, from the first call until USCIS approves it or sends it on to the National Visa Center.

  • 01

    A plan for your category

We confirm which relative you can petition for, which category they fall in, and roughly how long the line is.

  • 02

    The petition and the proof

Form I-130, the evidence of your relationship, and a cover letter that walks the officer through it.

  • 03

    Answers to USCIS

If USCIS asks for more evidence, our reply is part of the fee, not a new bill.

  • 04

The next stage, priced in advance

When the petition is approved, we quote the green card stage as its own flat fee, and you decide then.

If someone in your family hurts you

If your spouse, parent or adult child is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and abuses you, you may be able to file for yourself under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). It protects men and women. The person who hurts you isn’t told, and doesn’t have to sign anything.

If you’re reading this on a phone or computer someone else checks, use the Quick exit button at the top of the page: it leaves this site at once. Call us from a phone that is safe for you, and tell us the best time to reach you.

Family visa questions

How long will my relative wait?

It depends on who you are and who they are. Spouses, parents and unmarried children under 21 of U.S. citizens don’t wait for a visa number. Other categories wait in line, sometimes for many years, and we check the current wait with you on the call.

Can my spouse get a work permit while we wait?

If your spouse is in the U.S. and can adjust status here, they can usually apply for a work permit with the green card application. If they’re abroad, they wait there for the interview at the consulate.

Does a VAWA case cost the same?

VAWA self-petitions have their own flat fee, which we quote at the consult. USCIS charges no filing fee for the VAWA petition itself.
